Our planet is reaching its limits. Increasingly, issues related to preservation of the environment appear in our daily life: lack of natural resources, greenhouse effect, global warming, Kyoto Protocol, among others. While the burning of fossil fuels is considered the villain of this situation, the construction industry certainly is among the runners.
In response to this problem arose the concept of Green Architecture, which suggests that we project our buildings not only as works of art, but also as part of the habitat, working harmoniously with the environment. This architecture brings environmental, social, cultural and economic benefits.
Building ecologically brings only benefit, and not just for its users, but also for builders, brokers and for the planet: works with less material and energy waste; easy maintenance; control of light and water consumption, reducing considerably expenses; properly conditioned environments; reduced environmental impact; and finally gives our future generations a more pleasurable horizon.
